Dear GYA, According to a new study, some "nugget scientists" have discovered that the average chicken nugget only contains roughly 40 to 50 percent real chicken meat. The other half? Well, it's just an old-fashioned family-fun blend of skin, cartilage, gristle, crayons, jeans, bottle caps, strip-club fliers, used Glade Plug-ins and salt.---Mmmm, kids love salt! Anything happening today better than a deep-fried wad of mystery meat? - Susan Frimple, National Chicken Nugget Council---

Susan, Too much salt isn't good for you. That's a fact, and I'm a little surprised and upset that you're not at all concerned about high sodium levels. Anyway, here's what's up for today:

At Energy Solutions Arena, the Utah Jazz will be taking on the Golden State Warriors for the preseason opener tonight at 7. Tickets start at $10.

'90s alternative-rock band Filter will be at The Depot this evening. Red, Otherwise, and We as Human! are also on the bill. Tickets are $26.

Cursive frontman Tim Kasher will be onstage at The Urban Lounge. Laura Stevenson will open things up. The door open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $14.
