Happy Tuesday, music fans. There is some truly splendid music coming out this week, including the debut full-length album—one of my favorite records released so far this year—from Detroit rock band Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas, the sophomore album from New Zealand-born pop singer Kimbra and the fourth solo album by British singer-songwriter Imogen Heap. There's also new stuff from Florida '60s-influenced surf-rock trio Beach Day and New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Benjamin Booker. As a sneak peek for next week,
NPR First Listen is currently streaming Bay Area garage-rocker Ty Segall's new album,
Manipulator, which drops Aug. 26.
