Geeks + Tattoos = Epic Ink

It’s as if a TV executive thought, “How can we cash in on this nerd-culture thing while re-cashing in on those tattoo shows we ran into the ground years ago?” and came up with Epic Ink, premiering tonight on A&E. Says here, “Epic Ink follows the artwork and exploits of the staff at a tattoo shop unlike any other, Area 51 Tattoo, located in Springfield, Oregon. Area 51 sits at the intersection of pop culture and cutting-edge tattoo art. The artists at Area 51 specialize in hyper-realistic tattoos featuring beloved characters and scenes from favorite sci-fi films and pop culture.” So it’s all about the art—and, of course, wacky staff antics. Would you like a Wahlburger with your tat?
