After seven seasons and countless pussy jokes, Chelsea Handler is ending Chelsea Lately tonight and heading to Netflix to do some other type of talk show—with pussy jokes intact, of course. She might not be taking half of her staff (bad move—some smart writers there) or sidekick Chuy (yeeeaaah … that joke’s long played out, time to dump him), but it’ll be interesting to see an unrestrained Handler on-demand.
Dear GYA, So, uh, is it still cool for fly white guys to go to Offspring shows? Cuuuuz, these goggles and gold chains aren't gonna wear themselves tonight and well, ummm, I've pretty much been waiting my whole life to rock this outfit in an appropriate atmosphere.

This past weekend had a ton of options for awesome local music, and if you weren't roaming around checking it out, you really missed out. As a quick salute, the evening included a farewell show for longtime Salt Lake Tribune and Salt Lake Magazine writer (and former City Weekly music editor) Dan Nailen before he takes off for his new life in Washington.
When I worked as a book editor in New York City there was a ramen restaurant a few blocks from my office called Larmen Dosanko. I used to belly up to the counter and eat their curry ramen at least once a week, usually with a side of gyoza dumplings.
Hello to all you bed-resting, head-pounding, body-aching, ear-piercing, tummy-rumbling, why-did-I-drink-so-much-at-Beer-Fest enthusiasts! Seriously, thanks to everyone who came out to the Utah Beer Festival; it seemed like everyone who came enjoyed themselves greatly!
August may be winding down, but it's still got some surprises in store this week, mainly in the online realm. The first one up is from SLC producer Right Star.
