Moab Pride

While Salt Lake City gets a lot of honor in having the state's biggest pride festival, occasionally lost in the glory of that celebration is the fact that Utah has many smaller cities that don't have a pride event to call their own, and in many ways still feel alienated in their own city. Hell, Provo barely started its own festival last year to great success.

Robles and Stewart Politely Spar Over Immigration, Common Core, ISIL and Same Sex Marriage

The topics were heavy and serious at the 2nd Congressional District debate between Republican incumbent Chris Stewart and his Democratic challenger, Luz Robles, on Sept. 25. The two debated everything from immigration reform and the nation's crippling debt to air strikes in the middle east.

Tonight's Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus spectacular Legends promises "mythical and mysterious creatures of the past: a unicorn, a Pegasus and a woolly mammoth!" And, thanks to PETA, a 6-year-old boy in chains dressed as an elephant. 

Local man wins Utah Game Wars with coding game for kids

Anyone with two thumbs and decent hand-eye coordination can play a video game. However, not everyone can button-mash their way through what it takes to create a game. 

Big Wild Wings

As a music writer, I can't recall a time within the past five years where our music scene was firing on all cylinders like it is now. And it's happening not just with local musicians, but also with the touring acts coming through town, especially the indie-rock and hip-hop groups who have been packing venues like Kilby Court in recent months.

Wine Wednesday: Bleu Bistro Bargain South African Wine & Food Social

On Saturday, September 27th, beginning at 7:00 PM, Bleu Bistro will host a unique wine and small plates event featuring South African wines and live music by Lisa Hillary.  The evening will highlight four wines from South Africa along with four smoked small plate dishes.
