Liam Neeson once again defends family members with grim determination, and vampires get interviewed for a comedic fake-umentary in this week's new Utah theatrical releases.

Eric D. Snider appreciates the sturdy genre exercise of Run All Night (pictured), even if by now we're quite familiar with Liam Neeson defending family members with a very particular (violent) set of skills.

Scott Renshaw highly recommends the hilarious New Zealand comedy What We Do in the Shadows, with Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi writing, directing and starring in a mock documentary about vampires living in the modern world. The Last Five Years, meanwhile, spoils a successful off-Broadway musical's concept—and Anna Kendrick's lovely performance—with terrible directing choices and a tremendously unlikable leading man.

In this week's feature review, Scott Renshaw laments the charm that's lost by taking Disney's Cinderella, dumping the music and focusing entirely on the nice but bland human characters.
