Go onto Craigslist, and—nestled amidst ads listing DVDs, VHS tapes and CDs for sale—you will find the following title: "Gay marriage is stupid' The Movie.

It's on sale for $12—there's a limit of three per person—from a seller in Sandy.

"Don't get mad at me," the anonymous seller writes on his Craigslist ad. "That's what the movie is called." Then he adds, "You're gonna love it. Think gay marriage is cool? It's stupid."

The seller has used two photos to promote the recording. The first features a heterosexual couple running the traditional marital shower of confetti with the slogan, "And the government now pronounces you man and wife. Because marriage wouldn't exist without the government's blessing, correct?"

The second features a young-looking Hillary Clinton in 2000, quoted as saying, "I think marriage is as a marriage has always been, between a man and a woman."

The title does not bode well, particularly for the video's intellectual content. Somehow I doubt that the viewer will benefit from a particularly witty dissection of the issues surrounding gay marriage.

But whatever the DVD contains—I sent an email to the seller requesting information, no response thus far—I couldn't help but wonder at the limit of three copies per person.

Why would you buy three copies? As gifts? The mind boggles.
