Hey gang! So when I talk about fall being a time when album releases are plentiful, I'm not joking. We took last week off because there were no shows to
hype, and there were only a couple of online albums from late September to discuss. Well, what a difference we week makes! We now have nearly 20 albums to discuss for online releases alone. Normally I wouldn't mind talking about all the awesome music coming out, but let's be honest: If I do a giant post about all the online material that came out, there would be some awesome stuff that would get lost on the shuffle. Not that we would go out of our way to ignore local bands or not give people a fair look, but the post itself would probably look like a cluster.
So, in the interest of being fair to everyone where there's way too much to talk about in one sitting, we're going to list all of the online releases below, with links over their names for their sites and links over the album locations for you to check them out. Then we'll close it out with the release shows happening this weekend. Ready gang? Start browsing!

Now that we've got all that out of the way, we have two release shows tonight, both in Utah Country. The first is happening at Muse Music, as Our Future Selves releases their latest work. This is a five-piece alt/indie band out of Provo featuring Chris Hurley, Daylin Sperry, Bob Hill, Willie Atkin and Ben Kittrell. They've been doing all right for themselves since forming, but to get anything recorded they decided to take to Kickstarter to help fund their debut album for relatively cheap. You can snag their debut self-titled EP tonight as they perform with Dry Erase Tracks and Synergy opening. Tickets are $6 and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Finally, in Orem, we'll see the latest from
Former Tides, another five-piece band out of Utah County. This one leaning more toward the post-hardcore sound with members Devin Barrus, Tyson Clegg, Luis Cardenas, Chad Jordan and Trevor Espinoza. The group
have mainly been producing singles, the most recent called "Invisible Wolves" back in January, having a gritty radio-rock vibe to it. The band have been hard at work and are ready to release their first full-length album,
What We Are. You can snag a copy of the album and watch them live at The Stereo Room tonight with Hearts & Hands and I Capture Castle opening the show. Tickets are $10 and the doors open at 8 p.m.
