As is the tradition with this blog, we wish you a merry holiday, even though some of us can't fully enjoy it. I've never been one to use my blog as any kind of cathartic release for my personal life, beyond the occasional joke or random story I feel like sharing. But this year has hit me pretty hard in many ways—a lot of troubled times for your dear author who has been pecking away at this chronicle of local entertainment for nearly eight years (more on that later).
But in times of great distress, I'm usually reminded in many ways of the people who are in my life. This year has been no exception, as many people have come to me in bad days and lifted me up when I needed it. As you're reading this, I'm probably sitting in a theater watching Star Wars again, doing whatever I can to forget some of my troubles. Hopefully, sometime soon, I'll be able to grow past these new hurdles in my life and continue to thrive as I always have. I'll be back to my old snarky self in no time.
But if you're reading this blog on your Christmas Eve, you're in for a personal treat. As is the tradition for holiday posts, we bring you the gift of song (in video form). This year, we present an original piece from Officer Jenny to bring you some local music joy into your day. Please enjoy this exclusive video, and enjoy your holiday.
