My Friend Dahmer, Proud Mary

Oscar contenders finally hit Utah screens, plus a pair of genre action films and one delightful little bear.

The whole concept of "ripeness" permeates the gay coming-of-age romance of Call Me By Your Name.  Director Jaume Collet-Serra once again highlights Liam Neeson as steely Everyman badass in The Commuter (pictured). A familiar killer-with-a-heart-of-gold premise dampens the energy of Proud Mary. Ross Lynch's intriguing portrait of a serial killer as a troubled teen offers the only spark in My Friend Dahmer.

MaryAnn Johanson celebrates the kindness, sweetness, humanity and charm of Paddington 2.

In this week's feature review, Steven Spielberg delivers another entertaining civics lesson with The Post.
