Ideal Horizon: “Take Away” out now
Alt-rockers Ideal Horizon are back with their second single of the year “Take Away.” The band hopped on the scene earlier this year, and debuted their first single “The Day” back in July. Hopefully there’s more on the way from the group, because these two releases so far have been fire. If you’re a fan of hard/alt rock, you’ll want to check out Ideal Horizon ASAP. If you love heartfelt lyrics with heavy guitar and pumping drums in the back, this is a band you’ll enjoy. If you listen to Ideal Horizon’s stuff and feel eager to hear them live, you can catch them at The Boardwalk’s Battle of the Bands Tuesday, Nov 7 at 6:30 p.m. That’s night one of the battle, so you don’t want to miss out! “Take Away” is streaming everywhere now.
Soulfang: “I’m Your Drug” out now
Genre-bending rockers Soulfang are back with a brand new single, along with a fresh music video for your listening and watching pleasure. Riding high off their last track “Mental Laundry,” the group returns to their filthy, familiar form with “I’m Your Drug.” From the opening couplet—“You’re a sex enjoyer / a pussy destroyer"—it’s clear that there won’t be much soul-searching on offer this time. Instead, we get the bawdy tale of a womanizer who is brought to heel by the sexual prowess of one of his conquests, voiced convincingly by Liz Seibert. “I’m Your Drug” also marks the debut for the band’s new drummer Chris ‘Squid’ Stilling. If you’re already a fan of Soulfang, you’re gonna like this one; if you haven’t heard Soulfang before, this is still a good place to start. It’s fun to hop into the colorful, intense and plain fun world Soulfang are creating with each new track they release. “I’m Your Drug” is streaming everywhere now, and you can find the music video on YouTube.
