Ambedo: debut album and release show
Singer/songwriter Brandon Keith started releasing music as his latest project, Ambedo, in 2022. More than a year and six singles later, Ambedo has grown into a group effort, and their debut album is set to release in just one week, with a release show to top it all off. Polyresin is the name of the album, a piece of work two years in the making. “Polyresin is a base material that can become anything, and the album revolves around these themes of change, and learning to grow into the person you are meant to be beyond expectations and personal restraints,” according to the band. Each song highlights particular feelings—from anxiety, to relationships, to finding the humor in mental illness, and so much more. Polyresin is a beautifully crafted, eclectic, cozy album with all of the aforementioned themes blended in nicely with well-placed string instruments and drums. Brandon Keith shines well as a solo artist, but teaming up with good friends has taken things to a whole new level. “Ambedo enjoys keeping the focus on what’s important now, so the album is split between three ‘sessions,’ which are live recordings of a D&D session they played with friends (something they’ve been doing for the larger part of three years). Hoping to inspire others to laugh a bit more, hug a bit more, and hold onto those who hold onto you, while you still can. Ambedo is just happy to be around, and that you’re around,” they said. Polyresin will be streaming everywhere Friday, Nov. 24, and you can catch the band at a release show for the album on Saturday, Nov. 25 at Kilby Court. Tickets for the all-ages show are $10 and can be found
at 24tix.com. Ambedo will be joined by Furfoxen, Raspberry Protocol and Hawker Roam.
