idea to get more people men to attend games: dudes, bro!--- Every
Wednesday home game will henceforth be designated as a guys' night out
at EnergySolutions Arena.

Sadly, the man of the match in Real Salt Lake’s away game
against the Seattle Sounders on Oct. 17 wasn’t a player. It was the referee, Ricardo Salazar.
It had never been done before.No team in Major League Soccer had ever beaten Los Angeles Galaxy twice, at home, in a single season. No team—until Real Salt Lake this season. ---In their first match of the 2012 campaign, against the defending MLS champions, Real found themselves down a goal early. But they roared back to win, three to one. The second time Real faced Galaxy at the Home Depot Center, it wasn’t going to be so easy. Oct. 6 was a date on the calendar both teams had circled, with inevitable playoff seeding on the line. The game did not disappoint.
At last Monday's annual Mascot Bowl in Lehi, Utah Jazz mascot Jazz Bear launched a Hail Mary wobble ball from atop a 350-foot crane, and Utah Blaze wide receiver Aaron Lesue was able to haul it in for a Guinness World Record.--- According to Utah Blaze director of communications Mike Dijulio, "Guinness was not on hand, but they confirmed the catch as the world record for highest-thrown-and-caught football." Jazz Bear's bomb reached speeds of over 80 mph, and miraculously, Lesue managed to keep his arms from tearing off. See the video below:
The University of Utah was just delivered one of the biggest odaiko hira daiko drums -- translated as “big, fat drum” in Japanese -- in North America, which will be played during after the third quarter at Utes football home games.--- Manufactured by Taikos, the drum is 72 inches in diameter and weighs approximately 700 pounds.
