Announcing the 2013 City Weekly Music Awards bands

This year, we’re excited to introduce more new bands to the City Weekly Music Awards showcases than in previous years. But, you’ll also find some old favorites and a wide swath of genres to choose from. Without further ado, here's the list for the CWMA bands for 2013, which comes with a sampler of tunes.--- %u205E

The CWMAs go from April 17 to April 27 with around two dozen of the city’s best bands, plus 10 DJs, to perform during a series of showcases over two weeks. The Band of the Year and DJ of the Year will be revealed on the cover of City Weekly’s May 2 issue.

Before you read further, you’re probably going to want to check out the FAQ in How to CWMA.

You might be wondering what’s up with the gaps in some of the showcases (there are only two bands at some). As is always the case, some bands are hard to pin down or they can’t play due to scheduling, so we are speedily working to replace them.

So, the list is incomplete, as of now, but we didn't want -- we just could not stand it! -- to wait any longer to announce the initial lineup. Stay tuned as more bands are announced.
