While most Utahns probably remember Season 6 of Last Comic Standing as when local comic Marcus took second place, some may also recall the man who took third, Jeff Dye. With his frat-boy good looks and relatively clean—yet charmingly twisted—jokes, Dye is a cross between Dane Cook and Jimmy Fallon.
At age 27, Dye is one of the youngest headlining comedians in the business today, and his rise to stardom has been uncommonly fast. His career began in Seattle where, at age 23, he was a semifinalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition. He quickly started earning top awards at other comedy competitions and gaining recognition as one of the hottest new comedians in America.
Since LCS, Dye has gone on to perform at the prestigious Chicago Just for Laughs Festival. His own half-hour Comedy Central special aired in 2010, and he continues to perform and build his fan base all over the country.
