Joe Hill Centennial Celebration Fundraiser Members Pick

When: Sat., Sept. 5 2015
Price: Donations appreciated
Dear Friends of Ken Sanders Rare Books,

Myself and a group of like minded individuals including John Sillito, Kate MacLeod, Duncan Phillips, Lori Taylor, Bruce Plenk and many others have formed a nonprofit organization to celebrate the celebration of the life of labor organizer and songwriter, Joe Hill, on the centennial of his execution by the state of Utah by firing squad.

We are attempting to raise funds to support the big Joe Hill concert in Sugarhouse Park on Saturday, September 5th. Judy Collins has agreed to headline the concert, and local musicians Kate Macleod, Duncan Phillips, and many others are all on the bill. We need to raise funds to pay the musicians and put on the concert.

Please join us in keeping the memory of Joe Hill alive. There will be numerous other activities throughout the fall; including readings at our book shop, a Joe Hill play, and a vigil in November.

Please visit the official fundraising site here...and please share with your friends:
