Westminster College's Senior Art students have assembled their best works for a group art exhibit that runs March 30th - April 29th In the Jewett Center for Performing Arts Atrium. There is an opening reception March 30th 6-8pm which all of the artist will be in attendance for. There are six seniors who will be exhibiting work: Kathryn Nelson, Elin Kappus, Kevin Lucey, Haylee Platt, Peter Mantas, and Allison Pierce.
Westminster's art students have spent the last few years honing their skills and developing a collection of work they are proud to present. The work in the show includes process based pieces by Kathryn Nelson which focus on the consumption of space, the photographs of Kevin Lucey that highlight the unexpected in everyday life, installation pieces by Elin Kappus which have roots in her swedish history, drawings by Peter Mantas that uses visual art as a way to reflect on his musical life, ceramic pieces by Allison Pierce which highlight the oppression of women, and prints by Haylee Platt that look to play on the boundaries of inorganic and organic forms. These soon to be graduates are presenting an exhibit full of variety and originality.
